An exhibition of paintings by Philip Spellacy created on location in the Alps in support of Gil Richardson's 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain' fund raising expedition in aid of the Yorkshire Cancer Centre, Leeds.The show also featured paintings created in Snowdonia, Wales, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
Other previous Exhibitions
In 2007 and 2008 Philip held exhibitions at the Pfarre Graz-Salvator Church in Graz, Austria and is currently planning another exhibition in this space in 2012.
In 2009 Philip participated in the 'Salon Doppelganger 09' group exhibition in Dortmund, Germany, which was a show organised by East Street Arts of Leeds. This featured two oil pastel sketches created on location at Ullswater in the Lake District, England: see image below of one of these pictures.
Philip also exhibited regularly at the Tonic Art Space which was located within the Leeds General Infirmary in the city centre and has shown on several occasions in St. Matthew's Church, Chapel Allerton, Leeds, where he has displayed sculpture, drawings, mixed media work and paintings. Currently he has a mixed media work on permanent display in St.Nicholas Church, Church St. West Tanfield, North Yorkshire.
